A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly in case you’ve got a cloud web hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet amazingly simple to work with, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you’ll find a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking it twice will disable it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have another one with this feature enabled or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled without any effort in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have created using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a small button handily located right next to each one. With only a mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this option using the menu that will pop up. In case any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
